Saffiyatu F. Massaquoi is a dedicated and skilled professional with over five years of experience in foreign services, diplomacy, office management, and administrative procedures.

As a Liberian national, she has honed her expertise in various public sector roles, demonstrating a strong commitment to effective administration and strategic business planning. Saffiyatu is also a recognized gender specialist, with extensive experience in gender sensitivity and mainstreaming.

Saffiyatu’s skills encompass strategic business planning, manuscript and dictation writing, budget and records management, document preparation and dissemination, and continuous process improvement. Her proficiency in managing multiple tasks, working under stress, and her flexibility and adaptability in team settings make her a valuable asset to any organization. Additionally, she is computer literate with knowledge in MS-Office applications and internet navigation, and she possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Saffiyatu has pursued higher education in Environmental Science at Inner Mongolia Normal University in China and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology Chemistry from the University of Liberia. She also has a BCC Certificate from the World of Faith Bible Institute, Winners Chapel Church, and a Certificate in Computer Technology from the International Institute of Computer Studies. Her foundational education was completed at the College of West Africa (CWA) in Monrovia, where she earned her diploma.

At the Ministry of Public Works in Monrovia, Saffiyatu serves as an Office Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Minister for Rural Development. In this role, she provides administrative and logistic support, prepares meeting minutes and reports, coordinates departmental activities, and manages office files and equipment. Her attention to detail and organizational skills ensure smooth office operations.

Her involvement with the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja, Nigeria, and Freetown, Sierra Leone, as a participant in the ECOFEPA-Outreach Program and sensitization campaigns, highlights her ability to produce and disseminate newsworthy materials, build networks for information sharing, and manage public communication from parliamentary activities.

As a Gender and Women’s Land Rights, Communications, and Awareness Consultant for the USAID-Land Management Activity Project with Talking Drum Studio: Liberia Peace Center, Saffiyatu has mainstreamed gender into project activities, trained women and marginalized groups in land governance, advocated for women’s rights, mentored smallholder women groups, and contributed to policies promoting women’s rights and gender sensitivity.

Her role as an Assistant Coordinator for Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Monrovia involved managing employee requests, overseeing WATSAN certificates, monitoring WASH coordinators in multiple counties, ensuring safeguard compliance, conducting hygiene promotion training during the Ebola epidemic, and documenting statistics on Ebola-affected individuals.

Previously, at Ultimate Computer Solution Inc. in Monrovia, she assisted in budget preparation and salary disbursements, coordinated office activities and meetings, participated in staff recruitment, and managed contracts and administrative matters, including banking.

Saffiyatu’s rich experience in administrative roles and her focus on gender sensitivity make her a well-rounded professional capable of contributing to various organizational objectives.
