Fadia Thabet is a conflict analysis and peacebuilding practitioner focused on conflict transformation initiatives designs and training.
Fadia worked on countering violent extremism programs (CVE) in the MENA region focusing on al Qaeda and ISIS movement and gender-based violence prevention. She is particularly interested in monitoring & evaluation in international development and gender-based violence prevention.
She has provided consultancy services to international organizations (DRC, Unicef, ARC, CVT, and Youthrive). She was the keynote speaker for Harvard University, Women’s Refugee Commission, Nobel Women's Initiative and the University of North Carolina. She is the 2017 Women of Courage award recipient. Fadia was recognized for her work in peacebuilding by 2018 Nobel Peace Prize Forum where she shared the stage as a panelist with 2015 Nobel Peace Prize winner, The Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet. She has appeared as a conflict analysis specialist on CNN and CBS news.
Working in English and her native Arabic, she has a master’s degree in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation with a Specialization in Monitoring & Evaluation, Mediation and Dialogue. She is a Fulbright Alumna 2015-2016.
